1. Introduction

FairPlay (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the FairPlay mobile application (“App”).

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

FairPlay is designed with privacy at its core. We do not directly collect, store, or transmit:

  • Personal identification information (names, emails, phone numbers)
  • Location data
  • Contact lists or address books
  • Photos, videos, or media files
  • Browsing history

However, we collect limited usage analytics as described in Section 4 below, and our subscription management provider (RevenueCat) collects limited data as described in Section 5.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

All data you enter into FairPlay — including partner names, avatar preferences, task selections, and scores — is stored locally on your device only using on-device storage (MMKV). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

If you delete the App, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

4. Usage Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how people use FairPlay and improve the App experience. This may include anonymous interaction events, app version, device and platform information, screen size, timestamps, and similar technical information.

We do not use analytics to collect the names you enter in the App, chore details, partner information, or household content. We do not sell analytics data, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps or websites.

5. Subscription Services

FairPlay uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. When you subscribe:

  • Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store). We do not have access to your payment information.
  • RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID to manage your subscription status. No personally identifiable information is shared.
  • RevenueCat collects your purchase history (subscription transactions and product identifiers) in order to manage and verify your subscription status. This data is linked to your anonymous user ID and is used solely for app functionality.

6. Third-Party Services

The App may use the following third-party services:

  • Apple App Store — for app distribution and subscription billing.
  • RevenueCat — for subscription management. Collects purchase history linked to an anonymous user ID (see Section 5).

These services have their own privacy policies governing data handling.

7. Children's Privacy

FairPlay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, please contact us.

8. Data Security

Most app data is stored locally on your device, where security is managed by your device's operating system. Limited analytics and subscription data are transmitted securely to support app improvement and subscription functionality. We recommend keeping your device updated and using a passcode or biometric lock.

9. Your Rights

You have full control over the data stored locally on your device and can delete it at any time by uninstalling the App. If you have questions about privacy or data deletion, contact us using the details below.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
